OKLCH Gradients

Gradients without the muddy middle. A Figma plugin that blends colours in OKLCH, so a blue to yellow gradient stays bright instead of going grey.

The idea

Figma blends gradients in plain RGB, so two bright colours often meet in a dull grey middle. OKLCH blends the way our eyes see colour, and the middle stays vivid.

Where it is

Checking the Figma Community for plugins that already do this, and working out what would make mine worth installing.

The idea

A good-looking shelf of every book you own or have read. Point your phone at your real shelf and it fills itself in.

Where it is

Prototyping the book spines: colour from the cover, type from the title, thickness from the page count.

Raincheck

Will it rain on the way? Weather along your route: where and when it will rain, and the best time to leave.

The idea

Weather apps tell you about one place. A ride crosses many. Raincheck checks the forecast along your route and tells you when to leave to stay dry.

Where it is

Scoping version one: pick a start and a destination, get the route, and check the hourly forecast along it.

Finally, hit the corner. A physics game: steer the bouncing DVD logo into targets, level after level.

The idea

Everyone has waited for the DVD logo to hit the corner. Here you steer it, and every level has new targets to hit.

Where it is

A weekend prototype of the core bounce. The story layer comes later.

AI videos

Short films and ads I made with generative video tools, then cut and finished by hand.

Comet 001 A spec ad for the sneaker brand Comet, made on my own: one pair of shoes from the shelf to the court, a summit and the moon. Generated with AI, then cut and finished by hand.

About

I started at DeltaX as a Product Analyst, moved into design, and now run product. That path is why I like being in the details: I can read the numbers, sketch the flow and ship the thing.

Outside work I build sidequests like the ones above, paint and sketch, make AI videos, and I'm writing a book.
